Terms of Sale
These terms of sale apply to every order you place with Vallora at vallora.art. Please read them before ordering. Vallora is a company registered in the United Kingdom and sells to consumers in the United Kingdom and in the European Union. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
1. Scope and seller
The online shop at vallora.art is operated by (“Vallora”, “we”, “us”):
- Company details will be published shortly.
- Email: [email protected], or our contact form
These terms apply to all contracts for the purchase of products from our shop. A consumer is a natural person who buys for purposes that lie mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Some rights described below, in particular the right of withdrawal, are available only to consumers.
2. Our products
Vallora sells art posters and framed posters of digital artworks. All products are standard catalogue products: you choose a motif from our range and one of the sizes and versions we offer (A3, A2, A1 or 70 × 100 cm; unframed, or framed in black, white or natural wood). We do not make products to individual customer specifications.
Each poster is printed only once it has been ordered (print on demand). Printing, framing, packing and dispatch are carried out on our behalf by our fulfilment partner. Your contract is with us, and we remain responsible to you for the entire order.
The product pages describe the essential characteristics of each product. Please also read section 13 on colours and materials.
3. How ordering works and when the contract is concluded
The products shown on our website are not a binding offer but an invitation to send us an order request. Ordering takes four steps:
- Order request. You put works in the cart and, at checkout, enter your first and last name, email address, phone number and delivery address, accept these terms and our privacy policy and click “Send order request”. Before sending, you can check and correct all details at checkout. Your order request is not binding and does not oblige you to pay. You receive an order number on screen.
- Payment link. We check your order request and, within 24 hours, send you an email with a secure payment link. The email states the products, the total price including shipping and how long the link is valid.
- Contract. The contract is concluded when you complete the payment through the payment link. Until then, neither you nor we are bound: if you change your mind, simply do not pay, or let us know.
- Printing and delivery. After your payment, we confirm the contract by email, have your order printed (and framed) and send it to you (section 6).
We may decline an order request, for example if a product cannot be produced or we cannot deliver to the address given. In that case we will tell you by email and no payment link is sent.
The payment link is valid for 7 days. If you do not pay within this time, your order request lapses and nothing is owed; you are welcome to send a new one.
4. Prices and shipping costs
All prices are final and include any applicable taxes. Prices are shown in the currency you have selected (EUR, GBP, CZK or SEK). The price shown at the time of your order request applies and is repeated in the email with the payment link.
Standard shipping is free of charge for orders with a total value of at least €100 / £85 / 2 500 Kč / 1 150 kr. For orders below this value, standard shipping costs €5 / £5 / 125 Kč / 60 kr per order. If we offer optional faster shipping, or if shipping costs change in future, the costs will be shown clearly before you send your order request and stated in the email with the payment link.
We do not charge any fees for payment. Your bank or card provider may charge its own fees, for example for transfers in a foreign currency.
5. Payment
You pay through the secure payment link that we send you by email (section 3). The link leads to the payment page of our payment provider, where you enter your payment details directly. We do not collect card or bank details on our website and never see your full card number.
The amount on the payment page is the total price from your order request, including shipping. Production of your order starts once your payment has been received.
6. Production and delivery
Because every poster is printed and, where applicable, framed especially for your order, the delivery time consists of two parts:
- Production: typically 2–4 working days after we receive your payment.
- Shipping: typically a further 3–6 working days within the EU and the UK.
These are typical times, not fixed delivery dates, unless we have expressly agreed a date with you. If a delay occurs, we will let you know. If we do not deliver within 30 days of the contract being concluded (or by an agreed date), you may give us a reasonable additional period; if we still do not deliver, you may withdraw from the contract and we will refund all payments without delay. Your statutory rights in case of late delivery remain unaffected.
We deliver to the address you provide, in the member states of the European Union and in the United Kingdom. For the time being we do not deliver to Cyprus, Malta, the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, the Azores and Madeira, the French overseas departments and territories, or areas outside the EU VAT area (the Åland Islands, Heligoland, Büsingen, Livigno, Campione d’Italia and Mount Athos). Products from one order may arrive in separate parcels, for example when framed and unframed posters are produced in different places. This does not cost you anything extra.
7. Customs and import charges
Our prices are final. Orders for customers in the United Kingdom are produced and shipped within the UK, and orders for customers in the EU are produced and shipped within the EU, so we do not expect any customs duties or import VAT to arise. If you are nevertheless asked to pay import charges, please contact us, if possible before paying them. We will reimburse such charges.
8. Transfer of risk and retention of title
The risk of loss of or damage to the products passes to you only when you, or a person you have named who is not the carrier, take physical possession of them. Until then, we bear this risk.
The products remain our property until they have been paid for in full.
9. Damage in transit
We pack posters and frames carefully, but parcels can still be damaged in transit. If a product arrives damaged (for example with broken glazing, a damaged frame or a creased or torn print), please tell us within 14 days of receipt by email to [email protected] and attach photos of the product and the packaging. We will send you a free replacement or, if you prefer, refund the price. Please keep the packaging until the matter is settled. You do not need to return a damaged product unless we ask you to, in which case we will cover the cost.
The 14-day period is a request that helps us to make a claim against the carrier quickly. If you report damage later, you do not lose your statutory rights under section 12.
10. Right of withdrawal
10.1 Your right to withdraw
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. This applies whether you live in the United Kingdom or in the European Union: for consumers in the EU it follows from the consumer law of your country, which implements Directive 2011/83/EU; for consumers in the UK it is the right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and it works in the same way.
Our posters and framed posters are standard catalogue products. Although each print is produced only after you order it, it is not made to your personal specifications and is not personalised. The legal exception for goods made to the consumer’s specifications therefore does not apply. You have the full 14-day right of withdrawal for every product in our range.
10.2 Withdrawal period
The withdrawal period is 14 days and begins on the day on which you, or a third party you have named who is not the carrier, take physical possession of the products. If you order several products in one order and they are delivered separately, the period begins on the day you or that third party take possession of the last item.
You may also withdraw before the products arrive, at any time after the contract has been concluded.
To meet the deadline, it is sufficient that you send your declaration of withdrawal before the 14-day period has expired.
10.3 How to withdraw
To withdraw, inform us of your decision by a clear statement, for example by email to [email protected] or through our contact form. Please state your name, your order number and the products concerned. You may use the model withdrawal form in section 11, but you do not have to. If you withdraw by email, we will confirm receipt without delay.
10.4 Returning the products
Please send the products back to the return address we will give you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day on which you informed us of your withdrawal. The deadline is met if you send the products before the 14 days have expired. Please pack them carefully, ideally in the original packaging, especially framed posters. Using the original packaging is not a condition of your right of withdrawal.
10.5 Refund
If you withdraw from the contract, we will refund all payments we have received from you, including the costs of standard delivery, without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we receive your withdrawal. Additional costs arising from your choice of a delivery method other than the cheapest standard delivery we offer are not refunded.
We will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless we have expressly agreed otherwise with you. You will not be charged any fees for the refund.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the products back or until you have provided proof that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier.
10.6 Cost of returning the products
You bear the direct cost of returning the products. Framed posters, particularly in larger sizes, are bulky and may not be returnable by normal post.
10.7 Loss in value
You only have to pay for a loss in value of the products if this loss results from handling them in a way that is not necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. You may unpack and inspect the products as you could in a shop, for example unroll a poster and look at it closely or check the frame. Handling beyond that includes, for example, fixing a poster to the wall with tape, pins or adhesive, writing on it, trimming it or removing a poster from its frame.
10.8 Damaged or faulty products
Your right of withdrawal does not affect your rights in case of damage in transit (section 9) or defects (section 12). If a product is damaged or faulty, please contact us; you do not have to pay return costs in these cases.
11. Model withdrawal form
The model withdrawal form will be published here shortly. Until then, you can withdraw with any clear statement, as described in section 10.3.
12. Legal guarantee (statutory warranty)
12.1 General
We are liable for defects in our products in accordance with the statutory provisions. Although we are a UK company, consumers in the EU keep the statutory rights that the law of their country gives them; the sections below summarise them. A product is defective if, at the time of delivery, it does not conform to the contract, for example because it differs from the description or is not of the quality you can reasonably expect.
For consumers in the European Union, we are liable for any lack of conformity that exists at the time of delivery and becomes apparent within two years of delivery, or within a longer period where the law of your country provides one. A defect that becomes apparent within one year of delivery is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless this is incompatible with the nature of the product or the defect; in some countries, such as Sweden, this period is longer.
If a product is defective, you are first entitled to have it brought into conformity, normally by receiving a replacement print or frame. If this is impossible, fails, is not done within a reasonable time or would cause you significant inconvenience, you may request a price reduction or terminate the contract. Claims for damages under the statutory provisions remain unaffected.
12.2 Czech Republic and Slovakia
For consumers in the Czech Republic, your rights arising from defective performance (práva z vadného plnění) are governed by the Czech Civil Code; you can assert defects that appear within 24 months of taking delivery. For consumers in Slovakia, our liability for defects is governed by the Slovak Civil Code and Slovak consumer protection law, with a period of 24 months.
A claim for a defect is called “reklamace” in Czech and “reklamácia” in Slovak. We will confirm in writing when and how you made the claim, decide on it without undue delay and settle it, including remedying the defect, no later than 30 days after you made the claim, unless we agree a longer period with you. We will then confirm in writing how the claim was settled.
12.3 Germany and Austria
For consumers in Germany, the statutory rights for defects under the German Civil Code (Mängelhaftung nach BGB, sections 434 et seq. and 437 BGB) apply; claims become time-barred two years after delivery. For consumers in Austria, the statutory warranty under the Consumer Warranty Act (Verbrauchergewährleistungsgesetz, VGG) applies, with a warranty period of two years from delivery.
12.4 Sweden
For consumers in Sweden, the Consumer Sales Act (konsumentköplagen, 2022:260) applies. You can make a complaint (reklamation) about a defect within three years of receiving the product. You must notify us within a reasonable time after you noticed the defect; a notification within two months is always considered timely. A defect that becomes apparent within two years of delivery is presumed to have existed at delivery.
12.5 United Kingdom
For consumers in the United Kingdom, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies. Products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not, you can reject them and receive a full refund within 30 days of delivery. After that, you are entitled to a repair or replacement and, if this is unsuccessful, to a price reduction or a refund (final right to reject). A fault that appears within six months of delivery is presumed to have existed at delivery. You can bring a claim up to six years after delivery (five years in Scotland).
12.6 How to make a claim
Please send your claim by email to [email protected], stating your order number, a short description of the defect and, if possible, photos. We will tell you how we will proceed. If we need the product back, we will cover the cost of returning it.
13. Colours, paper and frames
Colours on screen depend on your monitor and its settings, so the printed poster may look slightly different from the image on our website. Small variations in colour, tone and paper texture, as well as the natural grain of wooden frames, are normal for printed products and natural materials and are not defects. Significant deviations from the product description are covered by your statutory rights under section 12.
14. Copyright
The works on vallora.art are created with AI-based image-generation tools; how they are made is explained on our AI & Copyright page. To the extent that the images, texts and other content on vallora.art are protected under applicable law, all rights remain with us. When you buy a print, you acquire ownership of the physical print and may use it personally, but you do not acquire any rights in the image itself. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you may not copy, scan, reproduce, resell or otherwise use the images, in particular for commercial purposes, without our prior written consent.
15. Complaints and dispute resolution
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at [email protected] or through our contact form; we will do our best to find a solution. We are not obliged to take part in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) proceedings and do not currently do so (for consumers in Germany: § 36 VSBG). Consumers in the EU can get free advice from the consumer advice services or consumer centre in their country. Your right to go to court is not affected.
16. Governing law
These terms and all contracts concluded under them are governed by the law of the part of the United Kingdom in which our company is registered, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you have your habitual residence:
- Consumers in the European Union keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of their country (Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation) and may bring proceedings before the courts of the country where they live.
- Consumers in the United Kingdom keep the protection of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other mandatory UK consumer law. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts, and the mandatory law of that part of the UK applies.
17. Contract language and contract text
These terms are available in English, Czech, German, Slovak and Swedish, and all language versions have the same content. The contract can be concluded in any of these languages; the contract language is the language in which you place your order. If the language versions differ, the version in your contract language applies.
We store the contract text. After your payment, we send you a confirmation of the contract by email, with the order details and these terms, so that you can keep them. You can request a copy from us at any time.
18. Changes and effective date
Your order is governed by the version that applies at the time you place it. Later changes apply only to future orders.
